• Real-time based: The game uses real time; the AI market will buy less products while night and factories will produce less products, depending on their location.
• Multiplayer: In Tech Tycoon, one of the most important features is the standard multiplayer mode; players can trade with each other, build companies together, or even sabotage each other…with the risk of getting caught!
• Company types: When founding your company, you can choose between three different company types: Hardware, Software or Factory companies. A player company can be all three but the different company types need to be researched first. A hardware company produces a variety of different products, such as graphics cards, processors or even full computers (…or maybe a fridge)? Software companies develop software like antivirus apps, operating systems (which can be used by hardware companies to install on their PCs), and much more. A factory produces copies for hardware companies (there will also be AI factories since not too many players want to just stand around watching their production lines lol).
• 3D-editor mode: Players can create their own devices and components in a 3D-editor mode to further brand their own models.
• Custom offices: In the game, you can customize your office however you want, using decorations, placing employee desks and more!
•  Events: Events in the game happen randomly. For example, it could be that monitor sales suddenly increase by 20%.
• Later features: We are working hard on adding a singleplayer mode on private servers. There will likely be a menu in private servers so you can make lobbies for friends to join too, but those modes will likely not be real time based.

Development Progress

Main creation system is done, NPC AI and market are scripted next. UI for mobile and PC is being fixed. I am currently trying to experiment around with menus for VR support so it’ll probably take longer than August for VR players to be able to play.
